Former Ranger Station artist-in-residence hosts virtual collage workshop

Workshops take place every Saturday through rest of May

Time is running out, art enthusiasts!

The Kent-Harrison Arts Council reminds the public that former artist in residence Anne J. Steves is hosting a virtual collage workshop every Saturday in May.

The workshops are free and open to all ages, running from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. via Zoom. Participants do not necessarily have to stay the entire time as this is a virtual drop-in event.

Steves is currently the artist in residence at the Comox Valley Art gallery, and signup information is available online at comoxvalleyartgallery.com. Collage templates are available on the website to help artists as well as instructional introduction video to help them get started.

Steves is a Welsh-Canadian interdisciplinary artist currently working on a collage project called “a sense of abandon/but not a lack of discipline.” The final project would consist of 75 works done over a one-year period.
