Fraser Valley Comedy is serving up some free laughs on Friday.
The local stand-up comedy organization presents John Beuhler at Chances Chilliwack on Aug. 30 at 8 p.m.
Beuhler began performing stand-up comedy at the age of 19. In his first few years, he starred in a national comedy special, won the Just for Laughs Home Grown Comedy Competition, finished in the finals of the Seattle International Comedy Competition, and shot two more Canadian stand-up specials for Canadian national television… all before the age of 25.
He has performed in the Just for Laughs Festival Gala where he won over the crowd and was touted as saving the show.
Beuhler then went on to win the Corner Gas Comedy contest. Giving him $10,000, and an appearance on Corner Gas with his mentor Brent Butt.
Beuhler has opened for the likes of Dennis Miller, Brent Butt, Joan Rivers, Martin Short, Zach Galifianakis, and Craig Ferguson to name a few. His style has been described as, wickedly funny, fearless and poignant.
The night also features Levi McCachen with special guests Keller Reeves and Alfie Rosselli.

McCachen has performed at Just For Laughs NorthWest, the Pemberton Music Festival, and is the winner of the CFOX Comedy Competition. He’s opened for the BBC’s Russell Howard, Saturday Night Live‘s Alex Moffat and Harland Williams. His material spans from the perils of modern dating, to generational differences. Whatever the topic, McCachen’s unique perspective always leaves the audience laughing.
This event is festival-style seating, please come early to secure your favourite seat. The event will take place on Chances Chilliwack outdoor patio (weather permitting).
