Fraser Valley Watermedia Society presents Visions of Abbotsford

Exhibit runs Nov. 7 to Jan. 7 at The Reach Gallery Museum

The Fraser Valley Watermedia Society (FVWS), in partnership with The Reach Gallery Museum, holds an exhibition of paintings starting on Thursday, Nov. 7.

The show, titled Visions of Abbotsford, runs until Jan. 7 at The Reach, 32388 Veterans Way.

During this time, The Reach will host two painting workshops which have been organized by the FVWS.

The first – from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8 – will be conducted by Perry Haddock and will focus on painting with acrylics.

The second – from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 29 – will be conducted by Tony O’Regan and will focus on painting with watercolour.

Both Haddock and O’Regan are widely recognized artists and teachers. These workshops are open to the public.

The FVWS advocates and supports the arts in ther community. As part of the outreach of the FVWS, some paintings from the “Adult and Teen Challenge for BC” community in Abbotsford will be included the exhibition.

Paintings will be for sale. People wishing to purchase a piece of art are asked to contact the artist directly.

The FVWS, in conjunction with the Abbotsford Arts Council, is committed to supporting creative relationships within the community.

The FVWS has more than 40 members who display original artwork throughout the Fraser Valley at various times and places.

Members participate in various cultural events such as the Berry Festival and Agrifair.
