Shoreline Musical Theatre is recruiting volunteers to help with their upcoming production, “An Evening of Fun with Gilbert and Sullivan”, which will be performed in the Tidemark on April 9.
Local performers will be featured in a selection of classic Gilbert and Sullivan musical numbers. The production is a fundraiser to help mount next year’s production – HMS Pinafore is under consideration.
Volunteers are needed in a variety of areas such as hair and makeup, handing out tickets and programs (in costume), selling raffle and 50/50 tickets (also in costume), setting up the program, and setting out food.
If you are able to help or need more information, please contact Jacquie Gordon at 250-287-7475.
Some of pieces being rehearsed are: ‘As Some Day It May Happen’ from the Mikado, featuring Brian Down; ‘I’m Called Little Buttercup’ from HMS Pinafore, featuring Doris Wagner; and ‘Oh, Is There Not One Maiden Breast?” from the Pirates of Penzance, featuring Victor Jordan.
Appetizers and drinks will be served before the show, and reception and desserts afterwards – all included in the $25 ticket price.
Tickets are available at the Tidemark.
