Music Under the “K” is sponsoring an exciting evening of big band jazz music put on by the members of the South Okanagan Secondary School, Osoyoos Secondary School and Similkameen Elementary Seconday School Jazz Bands, directed by Jonnie Bridgman and Lisa Ante. The School District Honour Jazz Band will be performing as well.
Closing out the evening will be the amazing “South Okanagan Big Band” from Penticton.
This concert is a warm up for these students before they travel to Moscow, Idaho to attend the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival the following week.
Admission is by donation and there will be a bake sale, and door prizes available. Proceeds from this event will help to support the trip to Idaho and the Music Under the “K” music scholarships.
