The South Asian Film Festival (SAFF) hits Vancouver, Abbotsford and Surrey Oct. 31 to Nov. 4, 2012.
It will be five days and 40 films about everything from romantic drama to melting Himalayan glaciers, plus conversations, master classes, workshops, film Industry forums, environmental film day and more.
The event honours established and legendary filmmakers and champions new South Asian film artists around the world.
SAFF Artist in Residence, international dance and singing star Shiamak Davar will choreograph both the Opening and Closing Night Galas with the fabulous Shiamak Dance Team Vancouver.
The closing night gala will take place at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre, and includes a complete Shiamak Davar Show followed by Yash Raj Films’ Isqazaade a thrilling romantic version of Romeo and Juliet meets Bonnie and Clyde.
The event takes place Nov. 4 with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. and the festivities starting at 6:30 p.m.
