Budding artists can get in on the Carnival act by joining Five Fathoms Tattoo artist Benny Hannya in creating their own tattoo designs.
The unique workshop is part of Vernon Winter Carnival events, and the current tattoo exhibition, Dermagraphics: The Art of Tattoo Design, at the Vernon Public Art Gallery.
This event is a creative way to introduce youth to the fascinating art of tattoo design, said Cyan Kregosky, assistant curator at the gallery.
“Benny will teach the basics of good artistic composition, colour choices and drawing techniques,” she said.
