The 32nd annual Secwepemc Gathering will be happening Aug. 15 to 17 in Chase.
Hosted by the Neskonlith Band, members from the 17 different bands the Secwepemc territory covers will gather and celebrate culture.
The event, which runs from 4 p.m. on Friday to 3 p.m. on Sunday, will feature traditional games for children and youth, drumming and singing, a powwow, arts and crafts and traditional food.
“It really is all about the 17 bands coming together to celebrate the Secwepemc Nation and to celebrate its culture,” said Donna Felix, coordinator of the event. “It’s going to be big.”
