The choir from Columbia Bible College is teaming up with two from MEI this Sunday to put on a show.
The three choirs will take part in a workshop on Saturday with renowned music educator Gail Suderman, and then the three choral groups will offer a gospel event at Sevenoaks Alliance Church on Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
“Make a Gospel Noise” will be a 90-minute concert. A mass choir will see the three groups involved join with other singers from the community, for a combined 80 voices.
Suderman is the director of voice and choral studies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and is artistic director of Good Noise Vancouver Gospel Choir. She also has a successful private voice studio, her roster of students ranging from award-winning classical singers to rock, pop and musical theatre professionals.
Organizers say Sunday afternoon’s event will be more “upbeat and fun” than the traditional gospel concert.
