Grad talent show features a ‘Roaring ’20s’ experience

Nelson grad will perform on Tuesday, May 27 at the Capitol Theatre.

The school year may be coming to a close but it wouldn’t truly be over until the students of L.V. Rogers secondary school had a chance to take to the stage and provide lasting memories for the community that has helped to raise them.

A collection of L.V. Rogers’ most talented students will be appearing on the stage of the Capitol Theatre in Nelson on Tuesday, May 27 to perform in the annual LVR Grad Talent Show. This show will feature a variety of performances from the unique, talented, and always-entertaining student body.

For those community members who don’t already know, the grad theme chosen by the class of 2014 is the Great Gatsby/Masquerade! This means that this year’s talent show has the potential to be the most glamorous and extravagant one to date.

In addition to the rich sights and sounds of the performers, the audience is also encouraged to bring a little bling into the show! Dress up like your favourite star, have your picture taken by paparazzi, and walk the red carpet, all while enjoying a second coming of the Roaring Twenties.

The performers won’t be the only thing on display throughout the show either! There will be a live auction and display of student art. Who wouldn’t want to take a little piece of the night home with them? Prizes will also be given out for the best costumes of the night, so be sure to dress to impress!

This night of incredible local talent is going to be one to remember and it’s certainly one that you won’t want to miss! Come out, enjoy the show, and support L.V. Rogers’ Class of 2014.

It’s going to be a great way to end this school year and celebrate graduation in style.

Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the show will start at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase from the Capitol Theatre Box Office for $12 or $8 for students.
