Granny’s paying a visit to North Delta next week.
Patti McGregor, an award-winning West Coast entertainer, melds music and comedy to present Granny’s Back in Town at the Firehall Centre for the Arts on June 14.
The one-hour show features McGregor using her guitar and percussion instruments – along with plenty of quirky humour – to present an evening of fun for mature audiences.
“Doing a show without all the bells and whistles feels raw but exciting,” says McGregor
She has, however, invited a special guest, John O’Sullivan, for the upcoming performance. O’Sullivan’s music and stories have been described as coming from his deep Celtic roots and his love of Canadiana/Americana folk history.
McGregor, who has also been emceeing weekly Open Mic nights for the Delta Arts Council for the past year and a half, plans to take her Granny show on the road to Alberta this summer.
Doors for the North Delta performance at the Firehall Centre for the Arts (11489 84 Ave.) open at 7 p.m.
Admission is $8 or three for $20.
