Windborn is an acoustic guitar/cello duo based out of the Okanagan that will perform Jan. 15 at the Little Red Church in Comox.
Jeff Pike and Nils Loewen have been touring together for a few years now after meeting in Winnipeg in 2011 during one of Jeff’s solo tours.
Since then they’ve been performing together all over Western Canada, playing all types of venues from coffee shops and house concerts to pubs and festivals.
On Jan. 15, they’ll fill the Little Red Church with their unique, full sound that has audiences listening in silence one minute and up and dancing the next.
Windborn will be joined by an amazing folk artist named Samantha Scott.
Jeff and Nils met Samantha on tour in a little pub in Rolla, a B.C. town with a smaller population than the population of the pub that night.
After playing a steady line of festivals last summer, Samantha stayed on the road, touring with various musicians. In January, she’ll join Windborn’s winter tour.
The evening is scheduled to run from 7:30 to 10:30 at 2182 Comox Ave. Admission will be charged at the door.
