Pianist Sarah Hagen returns to the Comox Valley to offer two performances at Comox United Church.

On Friday, Dec. 6 she will be performing a 75-minute program of some of her favourite works for solo piano, including Haydn’s wildly expressive Sonata in C minor.

The morning before, Thursday, Dec. 5, she will be offering a 35 minute “user-friendly” performance for listeners of all ages.

Both performances begin at 10:30 a.m. Tickets for December 6 are $24, while tickets for the 5th are $10 for adults and $5 for children.

Born and raised in the Comox Valley, Hagen tours across Canada and internationally as both recitalist and humorist. A First Prize Winner in the 2013 Bradshaw & Buono International Piano Competition, Hagen recently released her third album Women of Note, containing hard-core classical works by two forgotten female composers of the 18th century.

Tickets can be purchased online at sarahhagen.tickit.ca or reserved by calling (416) 454-2363 or emailing info@sarahhagen.com
