Tricks and treats
The Surrey Museum hosts a Halloween party for children aged three to six this Friday, promising funny tricks and yummy treats.
This safe and fun party includes decorating a take-home pumpkin, dancing the Monster Mash and making a spooky ghost.
Children must pre-register at 604-592-6956.
Sessions are Friday, Oct. 26 from 11 a.m. to noon or from noon to 2 p.m. All ages, by donation.
Pumpkin Power
Kids, if you’re heading to the costume parade, don’t forget to visit the Surrey Museum for Pumpkin Power.
It’s your chance to view, decorate and eat pumpkins! Design your own Jack O’ Lantern, do crafts, have some pie and then watch the Cloverdale Costume Parade.
Pumpkin Power runs from noon to 2 p.m.
Weaving a web
Also on Saturday at the Surrey Museum, weave and spin spooky Halloween decorations and creatures, including a spider glove to use during the Cloverdale Costume Parade or while trick-or-treating on Halloween.
Weaving Webs, Spinning Spiders runs from 10:30 a.m. -12:30 p.m. Oct. 27; the cost is $8.50.
It’s for kids aged 8 to 12 years. Participants must pre-register at 604-592-6956.
Halloween Charity Event
Zenterra Developments Ltd. hosts a Halloween Charity Event Sunday, Oct. 28 from noon to 5 p.m. There will be a pumpkin patch, pony rides (2:30-4 p.m.), hot dogs, drinks and other goodies, including pumpkins by donation. Admission also by donation.
Zenterra will match every dollar raised, donating the proceeds to Surrey Children’s Hospital. Presented in partnership with Price-Smart Foods and Surrey Children’s Hospital. The attraction is located at 7090 180 Street.
Pumpkin bowling
Bring the kids to the Cloverdale Sunday Market this weekend for Pumpkin Bowling.
The whole family can try rolling pumpkins for fun and prizes. The event runs Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the flea market, located at the Cloverdale Fairgrounds.
