‘Hauntingly gritty’ duo coming to iconic Okanagan music venue

The LYNNeS multi-award-winning Canadian folk artists are going to be in Penticton March 27

Called the “Canadian heartbreak poets,” The LYNNeS, the five-category Folk Music Awards nominated duo, are bringing their show to the Penticton Dream Café March 29.

The LYNNeS are Lynn Miles and Lynne Hanson and the pair are not strangers to each other’s music, having toured and written songs together for the past decade.

Miles has also produced two of Hanson’s albums (River of Sand, 2014 and 7 Deadly Sins, 2015). Individually they have toured both Europe and North America.

The multi-instrumentalists (piano, acoustic and electric guitar and mandolin) are described as “fusing tight vocal harmonies with hauntingly gritty lyrics.”

Their debut album released in 2018, Heartbreak Song for the Radio, was nominated for producer, English songwriter, ensemble, vocal group and contemporary album awards. They were chosen as the winners of the songwriter and ensemble categories.
