Penticton-based label Mad Melody Records is hosting the Hip Hop For Hunger Food Drive on Dec. 15 at Voodoo’s.
Label manager Harley Pyrozyk said members of Mad Melody Records are excited to spread the Christmas spirit by hosting the event and grateful to give back to the less fortunate within the community. Last year the group raised over 100 food items and they hope for the same successful results on Dec. 15.
Performing on Saturday will be MC Bodhi, JDK Nonstop, Twojoints, Toxik Emissionz and duo The High Crime.
Admission is one to two non-perishable food items plus a $2 door cover charge. Without any non-perishable food donation, the cover charge for entrance is $5 at the door. The show starts at 8 p.m. and is scheduled for three hours. Mad Melody Records will also have merchandise for sale at the show including shirts and CD’s.
