In 10 short years, Maurice and Jean Wutzke have transformed their backyard from a sea of mud to a tranquil garden retreat.
Hope Communities in Bloom volunteers have been out visiting gardens in the community this past week and have chosen the Wutzke’ yard as the first winner.
Unique oak, sambuca elderberry, and a beautiful contorta pine tree are focal points in the yard, with the garden shed one of the favorite places to be with it’s large covered patio. However, this shed does not hold a lawnmower or trimmer but does have a mini fridge!
Art elements on the fence add that extra touch, and the trellis is completely covered in greenery for extra privacy.
With seven different seating areas to relax and enjoy the garden in any weather, it’s plain to see the Wutzkes’ garden is a true labour of love.
