Indigo Jazz back at the Zo

Catch them at the Zocalo Café, corner of Fifth and Cliffe, this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Indigo Jazz is back for First Fridays at the Zo!

Dale Graham (vocals), Rick Husband (guitar), and John Hyde (bass) will set you up for Thanksgiving with jazz that has warmth, humour, and just-right feel.

Catch them at the Zocalo Café, corner of Fifth and Cliffe, this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

The trio will offer teasers from a new body of work that sets the music of Canadian legend Gordon Lightfoot in a jazz context.  Lightfoot’s beloved ballad Beautiful finds an elegant Latin groove, while his mega-hit If You Could Read My Mind floats over a steady-eighths ostinato.

This “sneak preview” of the Lightfoot project will nicely complement the trio’s engaging choice of jazz and swing standards.

The Zocalo Café is licensed, and offers hearty meals and mouth-watering desserts to add to your musical experience.

Get your long weekend off to a swinging start with Indigo Jazz this Friday at 7:30 p.m.

Admission is by donation.
