Everything is going green this week as Irish ex-pats, and those who just wish they were Irish, celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
Enjoy some shamrocks and limericks Friday, March 20, starting at 7 p.m., with the third annual Irish Night at All Saints Anglican Church Hall.
The event features a good old fashioned singalong, entertainment by the Argyle School of Celtic Arts, the Sweet Adelines Chorus, harp and singing by Deb Parmenter, and a rollicking rendition of Clancy Lowered the Boom by the men of All Saints choir.
Folks will also be able to dance to polkas, waltzes, foxtrots and, of course, the Virginia reel to the old-time music of the Chilly Creakers.
Refreshments and prizes are also available.
Tickets are $10 at the church office. For information, contact Molly Boyd at 250-542-4735.
