The 35th annual Islands Celtic Festival takes place May 24-26 at the Errington War Memorial Hall.
Friday night, the festival kicks off with a ceilidh dance in the main hall and session in the old fire hall next door, featuring musicians from across the Salish Sea corridor.
On Saturday, May 25, live music will be showcased all day in the band shell, with an outdoor market from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There will also be workshops, family friendly activities, sessions, song circles and more all day. The daytime events are free and donations are gratefully accepted.
The Saturday night concert is the main event, featuring top Celtic musicians from all over the Island. Seating is limited, so it’s recommended buying your concert tickets in advance.
Sunday morning, one last session will be squeezed in before the festival closes around noon.
This event is all ages and pay-what-you-can.
Advance tickets are $20 ($15 for students or seniors) and can be purchased at Cranky Dog in Parksville, Heaven on Earth in Qualicum Beach, or the Errington General Store.
Online ticket pricing includes an extra dollar to cover transaction fees, purchase at http://islandscelticfestival.ca.
