Local community arts, music and goods will be featured at the ninth annual Jam in Jubilee concert series.
Beginning July 11, spectators can enjoy a free concert every Thursday evening starting at 6 p.m., involving musical talent, an art market and more.
Held at Abbotsford’s Jubilee Park, this festival is organized by community volunteers.
Hand-picked musical artists, performance stage acts and artisan vendors are all part of the fun.
With free admission, the summer series kicks off with an opening address and performance by Abbotsford Mayor Bruce Banman.
More local highlights include Chilliwack’s Canadiana Roots band The Tractorgrease Folk, Vancouver’s beach rockers Satori Tide backed by Abbotsford’s local favourites Harma White, and and the Abbotsford Youth Orchestra led by world-renowned conductor Calvin Dyck.
Jam in Jubilee has been organized and presented by the Atangard Community Project for the past four years. The group aims to cultivate community enthusiasm and appreciation for local arts.
Drawing audiences of over 600 people to Jubilee Park each week, the festival endeavours to cultivate a sense of pride and joy in Abbotsford’s downtown core.
Jam in Jubilee is still accepting applications for its art market. Contact vendor@jaminjubilee.com for details.
