Have yourself a jazzy little Christmas . . . and help out a worthy cause at the same time.
A Jazz Christmas in the Fort returns to the Fort Langley Community Hall on Friday, Nov. 14, with a party that will include a 10-piece band, spot dances, door prizes, hot finger food, desserts, a no-host bar and a multimedia show set to live music — with plenty of room to dance.
Hosted by CBC radio’s Mark Forsythe, this is the second annual fundraiser in support of the Langley Christmas Bureau.
Last year’s event raised $4,300 for the charity, which made the holidays merrier for more than 800 families, including 1,650 children, by providing gifts and food hampers.
The event will include V.I.P. auction including a four-day kayaking trip to Howe Sound, a bicycle from the Fort Cyclery, a helicopter tour of Vancouver for up to 10 people, New Year’s for four at the Lampliter restaurant in Fort Langley, a spa day for two and more.
Live auction preview begins at 6:30 p.m., music starts at 7 p.m.
Tickets are $40 per person. Reserve a Table of eight for $320.
Tickets available at Wendel’s Café and Bookstore and Euphoria Chocolate and Coffee in Fort Langley. Tickets will also be available at the door.
The Fort Langley Community Hall is located at 9167 Glover Rd.
