Rhymer and Wells are the next local musicians featured in the ongoing Blues for Eric series of benefit concerts at The Oaks. The concerts serve as a celebration of the local blues scene while raising funds for the Eric LeBlanc Memorial Scholarship at the University of Victoria.
Deb Rhymer and Victor Wells play The Oaks on Saturday, Jan. 26 at 7 p.m. in what promises to be a highlight of the new year’s live music season.
Rhymer is nominated for a national Maple Leaf Blues Award this year, and her recently released album “Don’t Wait Up” features a pair of originals, Heartache and Trouble and the title track co-written with Wells. Together, Rhymer and Wells are known for sweet harmonies and smart, sensitive lyrics.
Tickets are $20 in advance and available at The Oaks, 2250 Oak Bay Ave. For more information call 250-590-3155.
