It’s that time again for residents to enjoy top notch jazz while gazing out to pasture, sipping fruity wines and eating cheesecake.
Little Qualicum Cheeseworks presents Jazz, Tea and Cheesecake Sunday, July 20 at the Morningstar Farm.
Blackstick is back with the Über talented Arntzen family, with patriarch “Grandpa” Lloyd and Evan Arntzen (currently living in New York City) backed by a number of celebrated and up-and-coming jazz musicians. Company B will also perform and then the two groups will fuse for one big, happy jazz frenzy.
Tickets are $25 which includes tea, cheesecake and wine tasting. Children and Youth under 18 are free. Buy them from the Morningstar Farmgate store at 403 Lowrys Rd. in Parksville, at Mulberry Bush Bookstores in Parksville and Qualicum Beach, at Cranky Dog Music in Parksville and at the door.
People are encouraged to bring lawn chair and sun hat. The event starts at 1:30 p.m. Stay tuned for a feature article on Blackstick coming up in Thursday’s edition of The News.
