Jesse Cook will be wrapping up his Blue Guitar Tour in B.C. next year, including a Feb. 26 show at the Clarke Theatre in Mission.
Released in September 2012, The Blue Guitar Sessions is Cook’s eighth studio album – a captivating 14-track album recorded on a pair of vintage microphones, which he had exhaustively searched for to replicate the mood of recordings from the Miles Davis era.
“I wanted to make a record that was more personal,” said Cook. “Something intimate with more space to it than my previous work, the kind of music that I would want to listen to after midnight. I guess you could call it my grown-up album.”
The Toronto resident has toured around Europe, Asia and across the U.S.
The live shows will include songs from his more familiar work as well as material from the new album.
