JUNO Award winners added to Penticton music festival lineup

Handful of acclaimed singer/songwriters added to 97 South Song Sessions line-up

New additions to the 97 South Song Sessions lineup have been announced.

The festival is returning to Penticton for it’s second year on July 24 and 25. The lineup features a variety of top multi-genre songwriters from around the globe.

Platinum-selling artist Neil Osborne of rock band 54-40, multiple CCMA and JUNO award winner Carolyn Dawn Johnson, JUNO nominee Bryan Potvin of the The Northern Pikes, JUNO award-winner Gavin Slate, X Factor UK finalist Deanna Mussington and rising Canadian star Maddison Krebs have all been added to the list of accomplished songwriters.

The festival offers a unique crowd experience as performers play their greatest hits and share the creative journey that inspired them.

Starting this year the festival will grow to sixteen shows across four venues with two 90 minute performances every night.

It will take place in various local venues as well including Bench 1775 Winery, The Dream Café, Poplar Grove Winery and Tempest Theatre.

Previously announced performers include Grammy Award winner and Hall of Famer Tim Nichols, Jeff Trott, Gary O’, rising star Jessica Mitchell, Grammy Nominee and multi-award winning artist Deric Ruttan, and Liz Rodrigues.

Festival passes are on sale now. Each includes access to two shows Friday night and two on Saturday night.
