Kids can read to a furry friend at the Nanaimo Harbourfront Library this Wednesday (Aug. 14).
The library is hosting Paw Prints: Read-to-a-Dog Program with Cayley the therapy dog from 10:15 to 11 a.m.
Cayley is a trained therapy dog and the dog and owner are registered through the Pacific Animal Therapy Society.
Children who can read independently are invited to come share their favourite story with Cayley. Only one child at a time can read to the dog.
Registration for the program isn’t required.
Participants are encouraged to bring their favourite book to read. For more information please call 250-753-1154.
