Spring Break Art Camp takes place March 23rd – 27th. Our two instructors have a busy program of art activities ready for two age groups. Morning sessions for 6-9 year old will take place from 9:30 til Noon. 9 to 13year olds from 1:30–4:00pm. Our instructors have a series of interactive and fun art experiences planned. Students will be exploring the elements of contrast, working on some two and three dimensional relief work. A multimedia project, print making and art games will round out the week. We invite your children to come and unleash their inner artist. $100 for the week either morning or afternoon. Registration at 1013 Baker Street, class at 1401 5th Street North

Join David and Patricia Stock and friends for the photo story of their latest trip to Nepal. These photos include Kathmandu, Pokhara, some rural villages, as well as a ten day trek to Annapurna Base Camp. The slideshow is by Dean Chatterson who was along on the journey. This showing is sponsored by The College of the Rockies International Department. It shows spectacular vistas, engaging people, and an intriguing culture. Admission is by donation with 100% of the proceeds going to “The Canadian Friends of Nepal”. This group has helped support 13 families and the bigger school in Kuttal Village since 2008.

Key City Theatre
Kim’s Convenience, Ins Choi’s hilarious and touching debut play set in a family-run corner store, will be playing Key City Theatre Thursday March 19, 2020. Kim’s Convenience was originally produced as part of the 2011 Toronto Fringe Festival, where it won the New Play Contest and the Patron’s Pick Award. It went on to an enormously successful run in 2012 at Soulpepper, receiving the Toronto Theatre Critics’ Award for Best New Canadian Play and spawning a nine-city national tour. The play has since been published by House of Anansi Press and has been adapted into an award-winning television series for CBC and, now, Netflix. Spring Break Clown Camp at Key City Theatre
Make this the best Spring Break yet! Kids are going to love five full days of Clowning Around at Key City Theatre’s Spring Break Clown Camp. The camp runs Monday March 23 to Friday March 27 from 9 am to 3 pm daily.
We call it Clowning 101 – Nose to Nose connections. Kids aged 10 + will experience the Joy of connecting through Clown! In this heart-centered workshop, participants will be introduced to the basics of Clown skills – Balloon Twisting, Face Painting, Improvisational Play and Character Development, and will experience the life-enriching gift of sharing those skills with others. No experience necessary, just a willingness to be generous of spirit and brave enough to be silly.
The facilitators are Charmaine Miron and Stefan Bruyere – Silly of the Valley, Kelowna BC. $125 for the week.
