Christmas by Candlelight The Fort Langley National Historic Site has an evening of carols, musical performances, and a Dickens’ reading starting at 6 p.m. on Dec. 15. The fort is decorated for the holidays. Costumed interpreters will offer a guided, holiday-themed tour. Catered by Lelem Arts and Cultural Cafe. $18.60 for adults and $17.30 for seniors. Holiday Family Gathering JRFM’s Basics for Babies fundraiser is 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 15 at the Langley Events Centre. Admission is by donation (cash or new products for babies) with 100 per cent of the proceeds going to the cause. Skate with Santa and hockey game The seventh annual game between Schreder Brothers Real Estate Group and Ingram Mortgage Team is on Dec. 22. Starts with a skate with Santa at 10:30 a.m. and a charity hockey game at 11:45 a.m. in the Surrey Sports and Leisure Centre, 16555 Fraser Hwy. Admission is a cash or non-perishable food donation to the Sources Langley Food Bank.
