The community is invited to enjoy the Carnival of the Animals at noon a free children’s concert featuring faculty members the Bergmann Piano Duo, cellist Joel Stobbe, and narrator Leanne Wendt. LCMS faculty members will also be presenting a concert at 7:30 p.m. as part of this day of music.
“We’re inviting the community to come to our beautiful facility to enjoy a music filled family event,” says Susan Magnusson, LCMS principal.
The noon hour concert will also feature the LCMS Cello Ensemble, Children’s Choir, Orff class and more. Admission is free. Tickets are available at 604-534-2848.
Community Day is open to everyone, and attendees can enjoy refreshments, meet teachers, learn about programs and classes, and tour the facility.
Later that evening, the doors will open for a special performance by talented members of the LCMS faculty.
“The faculty concert is an important tradition at LCMS, and a highlight of the year. We are very fortunate to have a faculty that wants to come together to perform and support the school in this way,” says Magnusson.
Admission to the faculty concert is by donation, with all proceeds going towards supporting school programs.
