The Ten Souljers will perform this Friday night at the final Envision Twilight Concert Series show of the season.

The final Envision Twilight Concert of the year runs this Friday at Fraser River Heritage Park.

The Ten Souljers will perform from 7 to 8 p.m., and as part of the celebration for the last show of the season, there will be free hot buttered corn on the cob to go along with the tunes.

Bandleader Marty Robson formed Ten Souljers in 2004 with a simple goal in mind: to become the best party-starting, grin-inducing dance band in Canada and beyond.  Robson and lead singers Karina Morin and D’arcy Han lead the charge of a band boasting guitars, drums, keyboards, and a full horn section. The Souljers bring a high-energy, full-band sound to every one of their songs.

The Souljers’ repertoire of songs is massive and diverse, and reflects their energetic style. Performances run the gamut from Etta James to Rihanna, from Neil Diamond to the White Stripes. Each and every member loves being in the band and performing with them — and it shows. Their on-stage chemistry is abundantly obvious, and their unmistakable enthusiasm is infectious.

The Souljers are a soul-stirring blend of powerhouse vocals, spine tingling harmonies, a sensational horn section, and dynamic performance. Their all-out, 100 per cent live show is a thrilling and unforgettable experience.

Says Carol Hamilton, Envision Financial branch manager in Mission, “We’ve been overjoyed by the participation and support from our community toward reducing hunger in Mission, and we want to offer a big thanks to everyone who comes out to the Envision Financial Night of Thanks corn roast.”

This summer The Full Cupboard was welcomed by the Twilight Concert Series and together with the help of dedicated concert-goers raised over 500 lb of food and $400 for St. Joseph’s Food Bank.

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and settle in for a great night of live music at Fraser River Heritage Park. The Blackberry Kitchen and The Log Cabin Café are open. Admission to the concerts is free, but donations to this community-based series are appreciated and encouraged.
