The Fraser Valley Watermedia Society will host their annual Spring 2017 Art Show from Wednesday, May 3 to Sunday, May 14 at the Clearbrook Library, 32320 George Ferguson Way, Abbotsford.
The show will feature a wide range of new watermedia paintings by local artists. It will be open to the public during library hours with the opening at 5 p.m., Wednesday, May 3. The artists will also be present at an Artists’ Reception on Thursday, May 4, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Featured artists for this show are Laurie Thomasson of Aldergrove, Carol Portree, Sheila Kirk and Pat Maertz. Both Thomasson and Portree are winners of Artists’ Choice Award 2016. Kirk is the winner of Award of Excellence 2016 and Maertz is the winner of the People’s Choice Award 2016.
There will be a free draw on Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. for an original painting.
