Cariboo “Meats” Culture is the theme for a fine arts outdoor festival and barbecue coming up at the Lake City Secondary School Williams Lake Campus on Thursday evening, May 21.
The event takes place in the school playing field and will have a carnival feel with a cake walk, candy table, henna tattoos, face painting, hot dogs, art workshops, hamburgers and drinks to purchase.
There will be music, the LCSS band will be playing, and there will be skits from the drama department, visual arts and pottery art displays and more.
The shows will be free but visitors will buy tickets to participate in each of the activity booths, says band teacher Laura Eilers.
Bring a blanket and a friend. Tickets will be available from vendors on the field.
There will be a show for students during the day from 11:30 a.m. to 13:30 p.m. and a family night event from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 21.
