Fresh off their Country Music Association Awards victories, Little Big Town performed at Abbotsford Centre on Thursday night.
The foursome claimed vocal group of the year and single of the year – for their smash hit Girl Crush – on Nov. 5 at the awards, and entered the event tied with Eric Church as the most nominated act with five. The writers of Girl Crush won song of the year.
The group – consisting of Karen Fairchild, Jimi Westbrook, Phillip Sweet and Kimberly Schlapman – previously hit than 50 markets on its headlining Pain Killer Tour.
The Abbotsford stop was part of the next run of the tour which hits more than 17 cities in the U.S. and Canada.
The group, composed in 1998 and still consisting of its original members, released its self-titled debut album in 2002.
This was followed by The Road to here in 2005, A Place to Land in 2007, The Reason Why in 2010, Tornado in 2012, and Pain Killer in 2014.
Their top hit singles include Boondocks, Bring it on Home, Little White Church, Pontoon and Day Drinking.
