Join artist and local teacher Darren Larose on two weekends, Nov. 26 and Nov. 27 and December 3 and 4, from noon to 4 p.m. each day. The workshop will teach participants the process of silkscreen printing – from building your own frame to actually printing your image. Participants can print on t-shirts, fabric, paper, wood and more.
This is an introductory course and the focus will not be on artistic skills, but on process.
The class costs $140 plus GST or $120 plus GST for Gallery members.
Larose is a contemporary artist, currently living in Campbell River. He attended the Ottawa School of Art and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Victoria, and his work has been shown in Ottawa, Victoria and Campbell River, where he currently paints in a studio shed near the ocean.
