A magical night is planned for Armstrong in February.
The Haugen Community Healthcare Society will hold its first fundraiser of 2017, a gala evening, Saturday, Feb. 11 at the Royal York Golf Club.
“The theme this year is Love of Magic with magician Leif David,” said event spokesperson Maureen Karran from the society.
Cocktails will run from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. with a dinner to follow.
Tickets are $100 each and are available by phoning Edna at 250-546-9813, or Janet at 250-546-3477.
The next fundraiser will be a garage sale the last week in May. Rotarians and members of the Armstrong Curling Club have helped with this event in the past.
The final fundraiser of 2017 will be the Lion’s Club Bingo, honouring the late Tom Nordstrom’s birthday.
Nordstrom is a former Lion’s Club member and co-founder of the society which formed to facilitate a group medical practice for Armstrong-Spallumcheen residents in 2007.
The society has been holding a fundraiser each year.
“The Haugen Community Healthcare Society appreciates the support from these service clubs as well as the communities support with our fundraising activities,” said Karran.
