The Mercury Players are presenting Almost, Maine by John Cariani, starting Thursday, Nov. 29 at the Mercury Theatre on Brae Road.
Sylvia Swift is directing and the Players Rien Vesseur is excited about the show.
“Almost, Maine is a delightful play, actually made up of nine vignettes, all connected by geographic location (almost, Maine) and time (approx. 9 p.m. on a winter night with the northern lights above). There is something magical in the air, something that can make or break love, that nudges people one way or another in their relationships and on their journeys to happiness. It’s sweet, sad and heart-breaking, thoughtful and smart, honest and insightful as well as funny and highly entertaining,” Vesseur says.
Performances take place on Thursday, Nov. 29 to Saturday, Dec. 1 at 7:30 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 2 at 2 p.m., and Thursday, Dec. 6 to Saturday, Dec. 8 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 2 p.m.
