Montreal’s acclaimed Buzz Brass Quintet performs two shows in Quesnel, on Jan. 25 and 26.
One show is designed for the entire family to enjoy quality music, tailored to suit family members four years and up. The second show is a Salute to Gershwin intended for an adult audience.
The merry band of five musicians includes Sylvain Lapointe and Frederic Gagnon on trumpets; Pascal Lafreniere on horn and Jason De Careful and Sylvain Arseneau performing on trombones.
For the Quesnel shows, Buzz Brass is teaming with Matt Herskowitz, pianist extraordinaire, to present the timeless work of George Gershwin at the adult concert on Jan. 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Chuck Mobley Theatre.
The Salute to Gershwin show pays homage to the celebrated American composer, evoking all the brilliance and intensity of a symphonic orchestra.
The family show on Jan. 25 is 50 minutes of six instruments played by six consulate professionals, with an eye to what children and their accompanying adults will thoroughly enjoy.
