Rotary Club brings Neck Point panorama to rear wall at dementia care facility

A new mural is providing scenic views for Nanaimo’s Eden Gardens long-term care home residents.

Last week the Rotary Club of Nanaimo unveiled a 30-metre-wide mural depicting a view from Neck Point Park on a wall near the rear loading area at Eden Gardens.

“Our Rotary Club of Nanaimo has a long history with Eden Gardens and this project offered a great opportunity to support them during this pandemic,” project coordinator Denise Wittkofski said in an email. “It was a win for both of us, as we had a wonderful hands-on project and the residents and staff were able to enjoy its evolution.”
