Vancouver Mezzo-soprano Barb Towell and pianist Tina Chang will delight music fans at a Sunday matinée concert at Oak Bay’s St. Mary’s Church featuring classical gems, operatic arias and pop and Broadway favourites.
Towell made her Vancouver Opera debut in Die Fledermaus in 2001. Chang, who has performed throughout Canada and the U.S., is on the music staff at Vancouver Opera as pianist and coach.
Together they offer a fresh and exciting approach to chamber concert performance, says Oak Bay Music Society Erik Abbink.
Tickets ($25/$20) are available at the McPherson Box Office, eventbrite.ca and Ivy’s Bookshop. A limited number of tickets will also be available at the door, 30 minutes before the concert.
