The Nanaimo Chamber Orchestra is bringing a light-hearted range of music to Qualicum Beach on Saturday, Aug. 26.
Directed by Karl Rainer, the orchestra has planned a light classic/pop concert at St. Mark’s Anglican Church.
The program will feature selections from Handel, Verdi, Lady Gaga, Coldplay and more.
Included in the program are Handel’s Entrance of the Queen of Sheba, Haydn’s Serenade, Verdi’s Brindisi and Gershwin’s Rialto Ripples, along with Libertango by Piazzola, Joplin’s The Entertainer and more.
The concert will be preceded by dessert and coffee by donation at 6:30 p.m., and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m.
Admission is $20 at the door.
