Variety Fare will bring the lively music of Hat’s Off to Broadway to the Charlie White Theatre in a pair of shows this weekend.

Off Broadway in Sidney

Bob LeBlanc promises to pack a punch with Variety Fare this weekend in the Charlie White Theatre.

Hats Off to Broadway features seven talented performers who specialize in the music of Broadway.

“We did that show twice here in Victoria. We had standing ovations twice,” LeBlanc said. “Our Sunday show (in Sidney) is sold out.”

LeBlanc, founder of the Victoria Broadway Chorus, put together the dynamic group of six veteran musical theatre performers. LeBlanc serves as musical director and pianist. The two-hour show is full of familiar Broadway music.

“It’s fast-moving, great harmonies and good comedy,” LeBlanc said. “We take people through the steps of a broadway show.”

Visit www.varietyfare.ca to learn more about soloists Tim Kyle, Dwayne Gordon, Angela Ireland, Sarah Carle, Fran Bitoni and Stan Davis.

“They’re all professionals so when they sing together it’s a really good sound … of course they’re all great on the solos.”

Tickets ($25) remain for the April 9 show at 8 p.m. Call the box office at 250-656-0275 for information.
