Okanagan Military Tattoo gears up for year six

The Tattoo is July 27-28, 2019

Planning is underway for Vernon’s largest annual indoor event.

Derek Hall with the Okanagan Military Tattoo said that the sixth annual event is set for Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 7 p.m. and Sunday, July 28 at 2 p.m. at Kal Tire Place.

More than 550 performers will take part in the Tattoo, including massed pipes and drums, highland dancers, military and civilian bands, cultural troops, precision drills, singers and the refrain of the Lone Piper against the castle backdrop.

“Get ready for two hours of heart pounding, fast paced family entertainment when the 6th annual Okanagan Military Tattoo returns in July 2019,” Hall said.

“The Okanagan Military Tattoo is an event that will stir the heart and feed the soul. It’s Vernon’s largest annual indoor event and Western Canada’s only military tattoo.”

A drill team, guard and band from the Vernon Cadet Camp will also perform, while the annual Tribute to the Veterans segment of the program commemorates the 75tn anniversary of D-Day.
