The eighth annual OneWorld Multicultural Festival kicks off virtually on Saturday in Penticton with more than 35 cultures represented.
The yearly festival, organized by the South Okanagan Immigrant and Community Services, starts streaming at 11 a.m. on Feb. 20 for free.

Performers at this year’s festival cover a wide range of cultures, from Penticton Indian Band dancer Tyrone Kruger, to Kelowna’s Yamabika Taiko drummers to Irish and Highland dancing.
The festival has also partnered with seven local restaurants to feature deals during the festival, including Lachi, Spice Magic, the Prague Cafe, Polish Bistro, Gusto Ferrari, Grimm’s Sausage, and Kojo Penticton.
In previous years, the festival has brought in more than 2,500 attendees, to mix and mingle with the many cultures and nationalities of immigrants in the South Okanagan.

This year, all performances will be hosted online at SOICS.ca, where the full schedule of performances and interactive demos can be found.
