Central Island artists are invited to use their creativity to paint or photograph historical buildings in the city during the 2013 Heritage Paint Out Shoot Out.
The event takes place Sept. 15, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is $10 for Nanaimo Art Council members and $12 for the public. The organizers, the Nanaimo Museum and Nanaimo Arts Council, are currently seeking artists to participate.
During the paint out artists will meet at the museum at 10 a.m. where they will draw randomly for their heritage location. They return at 3 p.m. and present their piece for judging.
Participants also have the opportunity to display their work at the museum and Nanaimo Arts Council gallery in October.
