Parksville gallery celebrates move to new venue

Island Exposures event to feature painting, photos

The Island Exposures Art Gallery  is hosting an opening reception May 3.

The gallery has relocated from the south end of Parksville to one of the retail shops at the Beach Club Plaza.

Owner and artist Craig Carmichael is looking forward to featuring the diverse work of local artists in the relaxed and friendly space and several of them will be on hand at the event, presenting a wide range of techniques.

The gallery’s opening reception features two photography-based artists Lynn Page and Randy Hall, along with six painters presenting work in mediums such as encaustics, oils, acrylic, mixed media and watercolour.

The painters include Pauline Nadeau, Peter Kiidumae, Nancy Day, Diane Michelin, Michael Anthony and Patt Scrivener.

The grand re-opening is slated for Thursday, May 3 between 5 and 7 p.m.

The Island Exposures Art Gallery is located at #5, 183 West Island Highway Parksville in the retail shops at Beach Club Plaza.
