The McMillan Arts Centre is proud to present up-and-coming, local young musicians for an evening of jazz. The Robs of Wall Street are a group of Grade 9-12 music students from Ballenas Secondary School.
They have a passion for music and a flare for improvising solos. They rehearse at lunches during school and get together for gigs supporting fundraising causes and school events.
The Robs of Wall Street started when a few students decided to create a jazz combo for a local festival and from there, their passion for music has expanded into the group that they are today.
After a show at the MAC’s May gallery opening reception, the Robs of Wall Street back on stage at the centre.
Tickets are available at Cranky Dog Music Store (154 Morison Ave., Parksville), in the MAC office, over the phone or online through the box office at www.mcmillanartscentre.com
The Robs of Wall Street are performing Friday, July 8 at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $15 or $12 for Oceanside Community Arts Council members.
