Watercolours for beginners
Evening watercolour painting for beginners at Echo Centre is a class meant for adults who are interested in learning the basics of watercolour painting. We will begin with monochromatic (one colour) painting to focus on value and controlling our washes. We will move to two colour and then onto multi-colour paintings proceeding in a step-by-step fashion so that each technique is understood before we move onto the next.
We will paint a variety of subjects from still life to landscapes, culminating in an optional subject for the last class. Some interesting texture techniques will be presented along with traditional washes.
The pace of this class will be relaxed so that each person can proceed at their own speed. A supply list will be available at Echo Centre. Instructor: Cynthia Bonesky.
The classes will take place Tuesdays from Oct. 13 to Dec. 8 (no class Oct. 27) from 7–9 p.m. Cost is $145.
