May 8 — South Okanagan Concert Society has flex-tickets for the upcoming season now on sale, including Locarno on Oct. 23, the Daniel Gervais Trio on Dec. 4, Capilano University Singers on Feb. 5, Wolak and Donnelly Duo on March 18. All concerts are at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available at Beyond Bliss in Oliver and Imperial Office in Osoyoos.
May 10 — Sweet Tooth Café is hosting an open mic evening from 6 to 9 p.m. at 13211 N. Victoria St., Summerland.
May 22 — Ron Boudreau’s tribute to The Crooners will take you down memory lane to an era reminiscent of style and class at 6 p.m. in the Frank Venables Theatre. Tickets are available at Beyond Bliss on Main Street in Oliver.

May 10 — Children’s Showcase presents Modus O: Circus Terrifico Slideshow Ballet. Performance starts at 2 p.m.
May 10 — The Penticton Art Gallery’s Second Hand Art Sale closes at 4 p.m. Come and place your silent bids before the sales end. Gallery hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.
May 14 — Opening reception from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Penticton Art Gallery for two new exhibitions: Bethany Handfield, official 2015 Meadowlark artist; plus featured art from three local high schools, Penticton Secondary, Princess Margaret and Summerland Secondary.
May 23 — Artist’s talk and tour at 1 p.m. in the Penticton Art Gallery with Bethany Handfield discussing her current exhibition, Bee Alchemy and the Resurrection of Dreaming. Free admission, donations welcome.
May 23 — JCI Penticton’s third annual Murder Mystery from 6 to 10 p.m. at the Shatford Centre. Lights! Camera! MURDER! Come on out for this unique, fun, interactive experience while supporting JCI Penticton. Tickets include dinner by Chef Derrie Selles, snacks throughout the evening, music and a dance floor. May 30, 31 — Summerland Pleasure Painters will have an art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the St. Stevens Anglican Church Hall, 9311 Prairie Valley Rd., Summerland, including fundraiser table to support the Penticton Regional Hospital expansion project.
June 6 — Gotta Dance from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Frank Venables Theatre in Oliver is a special dance fundraiser for the Okanagan Dance Studio’s Show Group, providing young dancers with training, cultural and educational experiences at home and abroad. The evening will feature solo and duo performances by talented young dancers along with selections from musical theatre. A silent auction, wine tasting and refreshments will also be available. Tickets can be purchased in Oliver at Beyond Bliss, Burrowing Owl Winery and SOSS and in Penticton at the Okanagan Dance Studio.
June 13, 14 — Stan Thompson Memorial Rodeo at the Princeton Exhibition Grounds, 315 Laurie Currie Way. Rodeo begins at 1:30 p.m., daily featuring the Cariboo Cowgirls special events drill team, clown Jayson Charters, half-time kids games and more. On Saturday night join us for the rodeo dance and the second annual Best Butt in Blue Jeans Contest.
