Get ready to move Thursday night.

This evening is going to rock at Performances in the Park.

Two headliner acts playing back to back are a must watch.

Perfect Match, our very own cross-over country/pop/light rock band with lively originals will entertain starting at 6 p.m. in Boitanio Park.

They are a versatile dance band that is easy on the ear and good for the heart.

At 7 p.m. Mohamed Assani, a celebrated sitar player who has performed across the globe including UK, Europe, Canada, USA and Dubai will light up the park with gripping Sitar music.

“His playing is fierce, resolute and gripping. There’s no denying that this is extraordinary music” – Georgia Straight.

There will be an Art in the Park kid’s corner, hosted by the Community Arts Council of Williams Lake as in previous seasons providing art projects for the little ones.

Cody‘s Bannock and Taylor Made Cakes will be on hand with bannock, sandwiches, pizza, cupcakes and sweets available for everyone during the performances.

The Rotary Club Williams Lake will be hosting a barbecue with hot dogs and hamburgers.

Arty the Art Walker will be on site as part of the 2016 Art Walk and Sale. Arty will kick off ArtWalk 2016 at the concert and also serve as our MC for the evening.

The Downtown Discount Daze offered by select businesses in the downtown core running from 3 p.m. until closing prior to each Performances in the Park concert is now in full swing.  Make sure to check out those great businesses and tell them you are going to Performances that night.

Performances in the Park is presented by the Central Cariboo Arts and Culture Society with the support of the Cariboo Regional District, City of Williams Lake and business sponsors.
